I think a better analogy is how older people were blaming stuff done by teens on “millennials” well into the late 2010s and even early 2020s when even the youngest millennials were well into their 20s.
Boomer if you’re born in the 20th century, millennial if you’re born around the 21st century. That seems to be how these terms are evolving.
