    very charitable interpretation

I’m happy you think my lived experience is charitable. I could just as easily say that yours is needlessly confrontational. And both of those opinions have the same merit. None.

And she clearly hated her husband enough to divorce him. So… Yeah. You’re allowed to hate your ex. That’s the whole point of having an ex. What’s stupid is when you hate on your current spouse.

Your experiences are not up for debate - it’s not the same thing as your interpretation of someone else’s words. You haven’t experienced the correct interpretation of the words from original author - you’ve experienced a situation that you see in those words. Your interpretation is therefore that they’re talking about the same situation as you were in and, what’s more, that their perception of it is the same as yours. Because that interpretation goes beyond the actual words they used, and because the words they used really sound like they’re saying something else, that makes it charitable.

And she clearly hated her husband enough to divorce him.

Sounds like more interpretation of the situation that goes beyond the words written. Maybe you’ve got additional insight into it that isn’t in the post?

How miserable. I don’t hate any of mine. I think only one hates me.

" being married to a man (again)" - this seems to imply that she was previously married to a man, and she’s microdosing doing it again.

And my point isn’t that you should hate your ex. I don’t hate mine. My point is that people say you shouldn’t hate your spouse. And that is true. If you hate your spouse, leave, don’t bad mouth them. I was keeping you on topic because you brought up hating on husbands, and we’re not talking about husbands. We’re talking about ex’s.

Yep, certainly previously married to a man. But maybe he divorced her? Or he died, or they split amicably? Lots of possibilities.

Thanks for your clarification about not hating your spouse, I understand where you were coming from now. Looks like I interpreted that one too uncharitably, eh?
