I’m a bit biased because I respect OP as one of the most wholesome people on this whole site so I don’t downvote often…but yes I wholly agree.

This and replyguys. They make an unfunny/unoriginal reply, screenshot it, and post it around. They add nothing and are just doing it because they desperately want to be an influencer

The law is for human mostly, but it need enforcer so it can apply to human, which should be done by human.

What about when it’s not involving human anymore? the law not apply i guess.

usually the poor go to prison. the rich and big companies get fined. sometimes the cost of the fine is worth it, so they intentionally violate rules (esp environmental protection rules) and just pay the fine…

I still don’t get why he’s got any power. He’s easily the stupidest person I’ve ever seen, and that includes fictional TV characters. Why did anyone ever listen to anything he ever said?

Because the republicans have slowly but surely dismantled public education, and always prevented any media literacy initiatives to take root, while using religion to amplify these effects. There’s a German musician named Reinhardt May who had the following line in his song “Sei Wachsam”(“Be Aware”):

Der Minister nimmt flüsternd den Bischof beim Arm: Halt du sie dumm, – ich halt’ sie arm!

      (poorly) translated:

The minister whispers to the bishop, touching his arm:
You keep them dumb, i’ll keep them poor.

The song in its totality is now 30 years old, and can’t be beaten in actuality.

Who owns the media and the algorithms? Of course Russia tried, like the US in other countries, but that can’t be the power structure behind Trump.

Laws protect the rich and bind the poor. More precisely: the State imposes the will of the capitalist minority upon the proletariat majority. The law is the public, legalistic face of the capitalists’ will.

Thus, the fact that the law protects Trump does not indicate that the law has failed in it’s purpose. Exactly the opposite: the law is designed precisely to protect people like him and bind people like us. anarchy

What the fuck are laws for?

What they’ve always been for since laws were first invented: protecting the powerful and oppressing the powerless.

Laws exist to perpetuate the system, ie capitalism, which is based on exploitation. Also to enforce it with violence—physical and otherwise.

In 2026 people can’t read 4 lines of text unless there’s a nice distracting border around it to give their drifting attention spans something to ingest as a break partway through.

I’m sure this is a pithy joke (and carry on if so) but for anyone who wants the real answer…its an old algorithm thing.

Way back when, Facebook didnt like the influx of tumblr/reddit screenshots (aka The Federation Mom Says We Have At Home), nor did they like the spreading of information via digital flyers.

They suppressed images that were over a certain percentage text, and one way to get around it was to present the text as part of another image. Designers could get around this with art and such, but scrapers and many screenshotters kinda just use whatever.

Edit: in this case, it seems the creator went with the strategy of “smiling young white woman in car” which most algos smile favorably upon as opposed to say, a photo of the people the tweet is actually about.

That piece on the back is a paddle shifter. You press it in with your fingertips to switch gears. (Sort of. It’s not like a true manual.)

If you don’t mean that, then idk what you’re referring to.

It doesnt look lile grime to me, it looks like the topmost layer of leather (or the coating on it) has worn away with time, no doubt accellerated by hand sanitizer
