This feels like a corner of the community trying to make rules for everyone. I think the intent is good, but I don’t think the definitions are as you say at this point in history because I don’t think they are any particular way. The people with the identities should decide on labels and meanings, and after several discussions with bi and pan people (specifically about this) or seems clear to me that there is not a strong consensus about what the terms “truly” mean. It is all over the place (at least in the sample of people whose discussions I witnessed).

One common thread is that almost none of them want to use the labels to exclude others.
