Think they are referring to restrooms with multiple stalls & sinks in one room compared to individual unisex rooms with an individual toilet & sink.
Which would end the argument only if the argument was being made in good faith. But the issue is that the reason they want to ban Trans from using their desired bathroom isn’t for the safety of cis women but to reduce the safety of Trans individuals and make them feel not wanted in public spaces, literally trying to legislate them from existence one space at a time.
Hell, in several spaces here that had unisex individual restrooms have now gone back and made them gendered for some stupid reason, I assume so people can still harass Trans people.
If the restroom is an individual room, I just use whichever one is free at the time, despite the sign. Does anyone actually care about the gender of a single person restroom??
The argument is made in good faith on my part, perhaps on theirs sometimes, even if you don’t agree. You are not the “faith decider”.
This way there is no ban/lifting of bans. You just go into your tiny bathroom and do your business. No drama. No hysterics. No eternal battle of stupidity.

And that’s the problem. I think this proves that the old reliable system is no longer feasible in the USA. Rather than 50 states making their own laws, along with the federal court cases (20 years of this?), I thought maybe it would be best to just end it, so we (as in US voters) don’t have to argue over this outrageous stupidity every election.
We have much more important things to work on. In my opinion.

What are multi-use public restrooms and why will eliminating them prevent transphobes from violating privacy?
Private bathrooms instead of shared bathrooms; for example, 3 tiny bathrooms instead of a large room with shared facilities.

Wasn’t saying you engaged the argument in bad faith, I was saying that it seems a lot of states have and if so, why this wouldn’t work.
