Both of these were in spans of two years because the people who elect Democrats are too lazy or stupid to vote in midterms.
If they do that this time, it will end the United States.
The Democrats need to get into power, and they need to fix things starting with complex matters like SCOTUS and elections.
If they don’t get into power; if they don’t get busy right away fixing things, then it falls to the people to organize twelve million strong under a common manifesto.
And all this assumes something doesn’t go sideways, like Trump commanding a nuclear first strike, or AI escaping containment under the command of iran’s non-state actors, or a bad run of consecutive climatedriven natural disasters overwhelming all responders.
Essentially the goblin army is at the gates of Minas Tirith. A lot has to go right if we’re going to get out of this mess.

We all get it. Healthcare in the US is still a clusterfuck and we need a nationalized system, but writing off ACA is childish bullshit. There’s a reason the vampires in the GOP tried to repeal it over 60 times over the course of 10 years. If the GOP is against it, that’s usually a good sign that it’s good, even if it’s not great.

We need to do a better job of holding them accountable, but it’s clear to me that is easier to do with our freedom of speech intact.
