You should turn that into a song. Being from here is just embarrassing at this point. It would at least make me feel marginally better.

Hmm. America (any part of it, North America, South America) didn’t become part of this until a little more than 500 years ago at the earliest. Not THOUSANDS of years. Then, it was Catholics who spread the western ‘civilization’ to the Americas, yet the United States hates Catholicism and says the protestant King James Bible is the true word of a non-existent god. The nation that is not supposed to push any religion only pushes protestant christian religion denying the THOUSANDS of years of Catholicism.

I really wonder what the average Trump voter thinks this means. Not long ago they claimed they were anti-war. I know nothing means anything to them, but at some point they have to question. Right? Right?

what the average Trump voter thinks

That’s the great thing about a cult, no need for thinking when you can dogmatically parrot what the leader says instead

Although, if someone explained to them 1-to-1 how nationalization would reduce their bills, I’d bet a surprising amount would support it (until the scary word socialism gets mentioned)

They don’t think it means anything, they don’t stand for anything but hurting people they don’t like, every single other issue is secondary and irrelevant

I think there are plenty that are also genuinely just incapable of basic critical thinking, either from a lack of or failure of education, or some other issues. Not that that should serve as an excuse or justification for their horrendous beliefs.

The Polynesians belong to a civilization that stretches over continents, crossed over oceans, and persisted for thousands of years: from New Zealand to Hawaii to America.

Polynesia must embrace its noble legacy if it is to reverse its decline.

Oh god with the “western civilization” bullshit. These fascists think they are the direct descendants of some noble stereotype of Ancient Greece., as if that would even mean anything if it were true, which it isn’t.

It’d probably also help reduce the decline if we weren’t run by 4 consecutive admins of pedophile protectors. Or if we just embraced immigration and better work life balances to reverse the declining birth rate… Oh right, pedophile brained leaders don’t care about actually fixing anything.

The legacy that reactionaries actually stand for:

Conservatism is the theoretical voice of this animus against the agency of the subordinate classes. It provides the most consistent and profound argument as to why the lower orders should not be allowed to exercise their independent will, why they should not be allowed to govern themselves or the polity. Submission is their first duty, and agency the prerogative of the elite. Though it is often claimed that the left stands for equality while the right stands for freedom, this notion misstates the actual disagreement between right and left. Historically, the conservative has favored liberty for the higher orders and constraint for the lower orders. What the conservative sees and dislikes in equality, in other words, is not a threat to freedom but its extension. For in that extension, he sees a loss of his own freedom.

    -Corey Robin, The Reactionary Mind

They want a neofeudalism that returns power to those whom they see as deserving it: White Christian Fundamentalists.
