Documents released by the Justice Department briefly mention a woman’s unverified accusation that Donald J. Trump assaulted her in the 1980s, when she was a minor. But several memos related to her account are not in the files.

The number of comments in here desperate to deflect attention from an open coverup in progress from a proven brutal, corrupt pedophilic president to relatively uninvolved past administrations – who were conducting active investigations and not trying to close them and then hide the files – is insane.
There are no mentions of Biden in the Epstein files at all.
But there are tens of thousands (38,000 is the last number I heard) of mentions of Trump in them, and potentially millions of Trump mentions because there are at least 3 million files that have not yet been released. There is a great deal of circumstantial evidence, including the Trumps spending Thanksgiving with Epstein in 2017, that indicate Trump never really broke with Epstein at all, and even if he did, his family did not.
So beware the shouty enraged “Squirrel!” crowd that wants you to look intently at -anything- except this current administration, its active, progressive coverups, and what its pedo-in-chief are doing even as I write this.
Whatever Obama did, whatever Biden did – or did not do – doesn’t even hold a candle to the countless crimes this regime has done and is still doing today.
Paying attention to what this administration is doing, and to the dates involved, and to the facts in the articles about the missing files, is not the same thing as giving prior administrations a pass.
I have no idea what they did. But under no circumstances am I going to turn my attention away from the one man who is at the very heart of it all, always has been, and still is today.
There’s enough blame to go around for all, past and present. But right now, it’s happening under our noses, today.
If you are genuinely concerned about justice and the guilty, don’t let the angry shouters redirect your rightful rage.

The victim claims, FBI interviews, and the now-missing files took place/were created in mid-2019. You could also read the articles more closely. Start there.
We excuse the democrats for failing to fix anything, like they are powerless as the head of the executive branch of government to make sure executive branch agencies fulfill their statutory duties.
It would be improper for Biden to have freed a captured agency, because republicans projected their modus operandi on biden.
It really is beyond ridiculous at this point, stop covering for them, Biden didn’t pursue it because the donors are implicated and he’s a creature of the oligarchy. We all know it, lying about it doesn’t help anything, it hurts as it destroys your credibility.

Telling someone to look at the dates in the context of what was happening at the time is in no way covering for anyone. When these files were created, and for a year and a half past that date, Trump was president.
You’re both assuming those files outlasted the first term and made it into Biden’s presidency, as well as into the open and ongoing investigations that were happening at that time. I’ve been through the files at length, and while I’m no expert there is a lot from the open investigations that made it across into related docs: this set never did. Nor did Trump suddenly just become guilty both in deed and in association, nor corrupt, in his second term.
Dems are guilty of a great many things, but neither of you have presented ANYTHING but accusations, not just at Biden but at me for saying look at the dates, read the articles, think about what was happening at the time.
If saying that destroys my credibility, if that makes me a liar in your eyes, I’m glad, because you and I are by nature oil and water: I have a great love of fact and contempt for mere accusation. You’ve handed me a brief op-ed with insults attached, and I am not impressed. It’s past time you block me, and I will be doing the same.
We all know that’s bullshit, on this and everything else, democrats always plead powerless to upset the rich. As if. Powerless to play realpolitik, powerless to use the bully pulpit, to call out rich people cheating us, to lead the party into investigating and going after villains for other things they’ve done, powerless even to let the public know they are foreign intelligence agents compromising our politicians and that the information is in the public domain. Powerless to fix the post office. Powerless to undo tax cuts, to save social programs, to do any project without 4 years of set up first.
Just give it a rest, they were chosen because they are weak, and won’t upset the super rich that control them. We all know it, lying about it won’t help. The only thing that will help now is strong aggressive popular reform minded leadership, and the establishment won’t provide that no matter what. Their mission is crushing that, not winning against republicans or undoing their actions.

They didn’t bring back any files. They’re still missing. What was recently found were references to the missing files.
If you’d read the articles you’d know that.

That’s not even close to an answer. You’re the one who started this trying to say the Democrats would do better to address this pedophile ring. By your own comment you understand that this was a highly active case already by the time Biden took over. Why was nothing done from January 20, 2021 through January 20, 2025?
They did nothing, because the donors wanted him to do nothing. Biden was a failure on all scores, not the least on Epstein. Allowing federal agencies to fail in their statutory duties isn’t noble, it’s a failure.
