They haven’t made plans for that yet. Right now they are focused on fabricating national emergencies to cancel the midterms as the republicans are set to lose over a dozen seats as they destroy their communities and people tend to switch parties during midterms when the economy is struggling.

He is also threatening all the top military brass to start killing american citizens and getting rid of anyone the nazi administration doesn’t like.

We are at that moment in time were shit is about to get real crazy and most of the country will be too busy and uneducated to do anything about it, just as planned.

Yesterday. He wants the military to use Chicago as “training grounds” for our troops against US citizens.

Also the EO he just signed making anyone who isn’t a white Christian Republican a domestic terrorist gives law enforcement more ability to arrest and hurt the opposition.

Democrats are his “enemy within” and he told all his generals to use their power to fight us.

The fuck do you want them to do? Ya’ll mfs voted the fascism back in after their first failed attempt, you can’t just pass your blame off to some dude in the minority party.

Every single person who could vote and did not vote DNC is responsible. Every single one.

Every single person who ever shared an anti Biden or Harris meme or spoke critically of them publicly before the election contributed to this problem. Everyone who was able to but did not openly endorse them or volunteer contributed to this problem.

I wouldn’t go as far as saying sharing a meme as politicians ahould be mocked, but yeah, when all you had to do to stop a nazi is show up to a ballot box and say “fuck off” and you didn’t even do that, you are culpable for the shit they pull.

That is a spicy take, but I agree. Anyone who looked at Trump and Biden/Harris and expressed things like "Biden is kinda old’ or ‘I don’t like Harris’ position on Gaza’ fucked everything up.

We didn’t get a democratic primary for this election, so we were in a place where we had a single option… it was Biden, up until it wasn’t, and then it was Harris. IN ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY ANY CASE, either of those two would have been better than Trump. Anyone who held off voting for them or stayed home out of some relative-to-fascism-minor-issue – or worse, voted for trump out of either approval or to ‘send a message’ – ruined it for everyone.

If you’re reading this comment and annoyed by my tone, just re-read the meme. This will very likely happen and we warned you. The people in power right now will never give it up and are actively dismantling the ways to stop them.

Trump is pushing right now to make us revolt and be violent so that he has an excuse to take even more power; to declare martial law or send in his pet police force or similar, even if it’s a tenuous reason, and we’ve seen how the people who should stop him will just roll over out of fear. This was all blueprinted in Project 2025. They told us what they would do and are actively doing it.

I don’t know if the folks suggesting legal, passive, protest responses are right or if we need to organize and fuck shit up right now like the ones stating that a revolution is the only way to stop this. I’m just a dude with a family and I’m part of the problem. I think our collectively meek response is going to be the end of the USA.

Empires fall. The USA as we know it is likely over but dictatorships also end, and there’s a likelihood that something will rise from the ashes.

I will be very happy to look back at this post in 20 years and think about how I was wrong and catastrophizing.

No, I don’t. They are both horrible. Way to pick a single issue – which I’m sure is important to you – and make it the whole thing, but many attacks were lobbed at Kamala, from her gender, race, her history against crime, to her unwillingness to support Palestine.

In the context of USA politics, but also what seems to be the whole world’s fall into chaos, we keep choosing the worst options instead of the not perfect ones.

I’m pro-Palestine. I would love for my country to support Gaza, but, and sorry for shouting here:

IN WHAT FUCKING WORLD DOES DONALD TRUMP RESPECT PALESTINIANS MORE THAN KAMALA. IN WHAT FUCKING WORLD DO YOU SEE HIM MAKING THINGS BETTER THAN SHE COULD HAVE.

This is the absolute worst take. She could have been terrible for Gaza, but we already knew he would be. In the context of the US election, there’s no case for refusing to vote for Kamala over trump if you’re hung up on this issue. You are exactly the problem I’m mad about. Do you not understand how tearing her down hurt everyone? How continuing to focus on this one issue to the detriment of all others prevents us from being able to actually talk about it because the children in the room get elected?

Yes, complain about the US stance, and I’m with you. Publicly deride the better option because it’s not perfect and you have people sit out the election because of both sides and you will see that the worst parts of humanity win instead.

You’re just as bad as the Epstein Files meme folks. Yes, it’s an important issue, but making it the ONLY issue prevents conversation on any other topic. And to hold off the Epstein people: We already know who is in the files, we don’t NEED the confirmation. The fact they won’t release them implicates the people in power. You think another felony conviction is going to stop him/them?

The time to vet US politicians is in a primary… again, we didn’t get one this time. When the time comes to choose who is better or worse for yourself or the world, though, you vote for the least bad option.

And I think perhaps the end result is that yes, I think fascism is worse than genocide because I think it’s a precursor. The US is aiding a genocidal country right now (for reasons that I don’t understand, there seems to be a ton of pro-Israel sentiment), but is not the acting force there, that’s Israel. Right now, on my land, the US is trying to move towards genocidal tendencies against it’s own people: see ICE deportations and hostility. This is a direct result of choosing trump over basically anyone else.

Editing to add: I think this a bait I keep falling for. Anyone responding to a serious post with a single sentence is a troll. I’m hoping to inform others who might feel like zark but didn’t post what they did rather than discuss with them.

Do you not understand how tearing her down hurt everyone?

Do you not understand how ignoring those criticisms tanked her campaign?

Why are you angry at me and not Harris and the DNC?

This is what gets me. Democrats act like their party is some force of nature which they have no control over. They seem completely unwilling to place any demands on their candidates, because they’re afraid that it will weaken them and cause the Republicans to win.

In reality, Harris was already coming from a place of weakness. If she had properly handled the issue, it could’ve saved her campaign, but she refused.

Regarding the Epstein files: Releasing those files is important for the victims to gain closure. They have said this. Additionally, there are probably a lot of big-money donors implicated in those files, and that’s why they don’t want them released.

No, I don’t think they’ll take down Trump, either, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t important.

Oh, I’m mad at them too. And I understand how her failure and that of the DNC screwed things up. I’m mad at lots of people :)

I’m not mad at you, in particular, but I’m mad at the concept that we, on the left, are always chasing the ‘perfect’ candidate and allowing really shitty people to win when a non-shitty person is available.

I’ve voted in every primary and off-year election since 2006, preferring the more progressive or dare I say socialist candidates in 2016 and 2020. Despite my choices not being the ones the rest of the county chose, I still voted for the democratic candidates in those elections. I would have liked to have a voice in 2024, but I wasn’t given one and it pisses me off.

Despite that, I think there was a clear “better for US and better for the world” candidate, but she got a bunch of negative press from people and organizations who were either too stupid to recognize the best of bad choices, or were actively trying to sabotage her chances. I think that negative press caused some people to decline to vote for her that otherwise would have, and the margin in some states was thin. I think it very well could have changed the election results if people had said things like “I don’t like her stance on X, but we should vote for her because she’s clearly better on Y, Z, A, B, C and D than him.”

I am NOT trying to say that the topics where people didn’t approve of her stances were not valid, or that they are not important. I would love to have the Epstein files released, and I would love for the US to support Gaza, and I would love for us to figure out how to support minorities, trans people, and all sorts of other disadvantages. I’m a caricature of the bleeding-heart-liberal and will fight for other peoples’ rights harder than I fight for my own. I happen to be privileged in race, gender and birth social status, but I recognize it, and that it is a fleeting privilege if I don’t help others retain theirs.

What I am trying to say is that when every political discussion turns into ‘but genocide’ or ‘release the files’, we stifle the ability to discuss things that are also important. Specifically those two examples because ‘but genocide’ was used during the election to great effect and ‘but epstein files’ is currently being thrown around here so often it feels like either just a meme or an intentional distraction. You did this exact thing when you took my whole response and turned it into ‘genocide isn’t as bad as facism?’

Thanks for writing more than a witty one-liner this time.

          “anti-DNC propoganda”

"Every single person who ever shared an anti Biden or Harris meme or spoke critically of them publicly before the election contributed to this problem. "

holy america-brain. you’re not making your “democratic” party sound very democratic.

i would put the blame on anybody that voted for and supports trump, not on the people saying neither of the candidates in your 2-party system is a good representative. like i understand the argument to choose between the lesser of two evils, but why are you dying on the hill of which evil you choose? more importantly why are you villainizing the people fighting for a better choice, and instead standing by a party that ignores criticisms to be less evil?

i would wager Right Wing Think Tanks love YOU blaming the anti-fascists instead of… the fascists. especially you scapegoating other progressives and the rhetoric of uncritical support for YOUR leader: “blue” no matter who, huh?

it’s long past due for the usa to dismantle the flawed 2 party system. having to choose bewteen more or less genocide is not a democracy for those that are anti-genocide. yall gotta see past your current failing system and fight for broader ideals of accountable representation and anti imperialism.

That’s on you for allowing your party to push an unpopular candidate on the electorate.

Y’all didn’t rebel against the DNC when they ignored the uncommitted movement and decided to just select a candidate who never won a primary. Y’all didn’t rebel when she refused to condemn the Gaza genocide and admitted that she would continue to support it. Y’all didn’t rebel when she refused to stand up to the Republican attacks on trans kids.

So, now y’all get to go fuck yourselves.

Nah you’re not in position to state that. If the alternative wasn’t worse enough then you are to blame. There’s no perfect candidate. Ya could’ve voted in mid-terms, gave low approval ratings, voted for your preferred candidate during the next DNC primary. Not when it’s against Trump and project 2025. That’s choosing a nuclear bomb over a run of the mill bomb; sure both are bad but one is catastrophic. You’re mad that people chose a less severe bomb because it’s a bomb but your anger allowed something significantly more catastrophic yet you want to sit on some high horse. Sometimes you’re choosing against two bad things, choose the less terrible thing.

If there’s an unavoidable situation where people will die 10,000 v 100 I’m going to choose the least damage. You’d let 10,100 people die

You’re making an elementary political error here. In politics, you have to give a constituency something that they want or you could lose their vote. Harris gambled that she wouldn’t need the anti-war vote. She lost.

Honestly, what is the game plan here? If you can get enough people to feel guilty about their vote, then they’ll vote the “right way” next time, regardless of how bad the candidate is? When has that ever worked? Wouldn’t it be easier to just get a good candidate?

No, but theres now a nonzero chance there’s a Military coup against Trump,

the vast majority of the people in that Quantico gathering, are probably keenly aware that America is already more or less locked into a state of conflict with Russia and China, the war is already on and its just getting more kinetic as the months pass.

and then this coked out fuckwit brings them all together just to tell them he wants them to take their eyes off Americas actual enemies, the Russian Mafia State, the CCP, Iran, North Korea, etc. and to divide their attention to help stomp on what is essentially culture war enemies of the conservatives.

when you’re already in the opening stages of WW3, Your enemies arent liberals or conservatives, educated and intelligent people especially those who are senior officers in the military dont think along those lines. this is just a radical civilian government asking the warfighting people to point their guns trained on the Russians and Chinese, and turn them around and point them at political opponents.

Trump’s gang is essentially trying to do what Putin did in the 90s, and I dont think anyone in the command of the military is keen to actually put a Molotov to the country, unlike the Sycophants who all they do is talk to cameras and shitpost on twitter all day.

If you’re worried about election integrity under the administration, please do volunteer, or work directly for your elections board if you can. We can really use the help, no matter where you are from.

If you have some spare cash, don’t be afraid to print out some fact sheets for people to take with them when voting, as long as you don’t violate canvassing laws of course.

Like in Germany, Italy, and Spain it will not be the Liberals that fight back. Liberals will bend the knee and beg for forgiveness while Social Democrats will protest until the military massacres them all. But it will be the revolutionaries, the Socialists, the Anarchists, and the Communists that will resist.

I’m well aware of the alleged historical grievances that some anarchists like to use to justify playing victim and being fucking useless, fortunately not all anarchists do this

Yes, a proletarian boot to prevent the capitalists from ever taking power again, your absurd opposition to wielding power for anything good ensures you will never do anything but lose

Seems like a stretch to call the mass execution of anarchists “anything good” but I suppose that really depends on how you feel about anarchists.

The Time to Move Forward Is Now

Ah, 2021. A time of triumph and jubilation. Democrats coming together and saying “We won last time so now we’ll never lose again” and proceeding to write the opposition party off as toothless has-beens. What a magical moment for our country.

Why can’t we go back to brunch? I think the real reason is because leftist voters stabbed us all in the back. So we just need to pivot further to the Right if we want to reclaim our beautiful brunch-time again.

He literally mentioned turning the military on cities earlier during the rambling speech he’s giving right now, in between talking about the quality of paper he likes and complaining about not getting a Nobel prize, because people are apparently shooting firefighters off ladders.

Oh that would force Democrats to write a really strong worded letter. Probably multiple pages. You’ll see.

Almost as much as protests voters helped Trump do all this. Almost as much as the both sides are the same rhetoric helped Trump do all this.

Almost as much as protests voters helped Trump do all this.

Gee, if only there were some way democrats could have got those voters back on board. But they were too insignificant to matter until centrists needed someone to blame for the results of their unwillingness to represent people not named cheney or netanyahu.

When the electorate is polarized, you win by energizing your base to get more people to the polls. Abandoning your base one vulnerable group at a time not only fails to curry favor with the fascists that centrists desperately want to befriend, it also depresses turnout from your base as well. But since centrists like moving to the right and don’t want to stop, they treat their positions as sacrosanct and it is the voters who must capitulate. After all, our politicians capitulate by example so frequently.

If they were too insignificant to listen to, you don’t get to blame them. If they are significant enough to blame, they’re kingmakers and you should have been listening to them.

People who chose not to vote for Harris are just as much failures as the Democratic party. Take some responsibility.

Democratic party could have won in a landslide for speak up for their base who didn’t want a genocide, but no, they wanted it and stuck to it.

Democrats are 100% to blame. And fuck you and everyone who tries to put the blame on people for having a conscience. If they had any semblance of representing their base, they fucked it up themselves.

Democrats put themselves in a scenario where Trump would win and you’re surprised he won?

Yeah bro those people must be feeling so amazing about themselves and their pure and righteous conscience everyday that Trump runs rampant and destroys the country even more, and don’t even get me started on trans issues

AT LEAST GAZA IS SAVED THOUGH :) fuck off and grow up. You are both to blame because you both are fucking idiots. Democrats should’ve done a better job and split with Israel, because dipshits like you needed more of a reason to vote against obvious nazism

At least democrats didn’t have to abandon unconditional genocide support. At least they didn’t have to follow the Leahy law. They’ll make up every excuse under the sun to block progressive legislation, but straight up ignore the law to sell weapons for genocide.
