The United States have been a problem country for 100+ years.

I’m old enough to remember that some the embassy staff managed to evade capture and were hidden by the Canadian embassy staff until they could be smuggled out.
Then Hollywood made movie about it and gave Ben Affleck all the credit.
The guy that writes the book takes the credit and sells the rights to Hollywood. Tale as old as time.
At least Tony Mendez seems to enjoy a fair bit of esteem with his former colleagues. That’s not always the case.
I blame Reagan for everything that sucks today.
Something else the americans have forgotten about Canadians helping them with.
