I don’t really like to block. I see toxic or antisocial opinions as a problem for these small communities I post in, not just a problem for me. I prefer to push back on them or better yet come to an understanding with them when they appear, rather than put “see no evil” blinders on my account. Everyone else still sees them. They still make the community I’m posting in worse when unaddressed.
When I do block, it’s a whole toxic com like news@lemmy.world that I don’t want polluting my all feed.

I guess I’m built different. Never blocked anyone. Even in disagreements and bad takes I try to understand what is going on in people’s minds. I also believe that having wide range of perspectives trains my compassion. Although, I’d still rather read leftist infighting on Lemmy than any political garbage fire on other platforms… until morbid curiosity takes me elsewhere again.

Using plugins, you can make an entire game with both 2d animated sprites and 3d models, sound obviously, a trailer, all without leaving the app. You can even take notes
It does a lot of stuff.

No it’s real, i had a chair like that, the text is only loosely attached to the frame which is why it jiggles around a bit

Blender is one of the best 2d animation software according to a lot of people
Blender has a really capable video editor
The text is just a standard element added in that and then hand tracked and keyframed because motion tracking was failing me (super low res noisy footage)
Blender has a lot of cool things in it: 3D modeling, 2D animation, 3D sculpting, story boarding, VFX tools, video editing, and probably more that I’m forgetting
Hell I use it more as a video editor than as a 3D modeling tool lol

Blender’s motion tracking typically works really well but for this footage I did it by hand adding key frames every few frames based on the amount of movement I was seeing
It’s unironically pretty fun to do
Yeah I’ve been using kden because it’s editing features have a lot of nice to haves, but getting smooth tracking is just always too tedious. The whole transform editing frame work sucks donky balls.
I used to animate 2d stuff in blender by just adding emissive textures to planes and using an orthogonal camera. This was back before the video editor was improved.
