At this point America has terminal cancer in every single major organ. The only cure from here is to cut it all out and replace it with someone fresh or a near fatal dose of chemo to wipe it all out. Anything less will just delay the inevitable death.

I like Sanders, and think he could have been a terrific peacetime president in a better timeline. Unfortunately, I suspect we will need to shed blood and lose many innocent lives in order to get somewhere decent now.

We need a leader who is willing to fight, and to sacrifice lives like mine, to create a future.

Meh, good luck to Bernie and similar minded Americans.

But as a Canadian, I ain’t going to America again, and I’m doing everything I can to get off of American products.

Like the news in America is currently going on about Trump’s comments about nationalizing elections, and how people are afraid he may try to meddle in their elections. As though he hadn’t tried to lead a violent insurrection when he lost last time around. Most of them seem to want to watch it all burn, and are willing to follow a convicted felon, alleged child rapist, and “prolific” pant shitter to see it happen. They’re willing to shrug off Musk’s Nazi salutes, and the epstein stuff is just a side-show without any real accountability for anyone involved. They’re openly attacking other western democracies and attempting to undermine THEIR OWN ALLIES national security, while making absolutely bullshit claims about their neighbours causing “national security emergencies” by having trade deficits. It’s utterly fucking absurd.

It should be really simple. You don’t attack your allies. But Americans are too stupid to even figure that one out it seems. So idk, I think Bernie may be dreaming of an America that doesn’t exist anymore. But best of luck to em.

What Bernie is trying to say is it’s possible we could save her, in theory, so we have to pretend like we will do that. But in practice obviously it’s not. Namely because we fight under the controlled opposition, and people by and large still trust them.

In fact I am beginning to think the population is being dosed with something to make them docile, or cuntish, if you will.

I wouldn’t frame it like that, but yes, we require someone that knows how to build and run a political machine, someone that is a strong leader, that can actually lead the troops, with direction, with vision.

Weak candidates like Biden won’t do it, neither will newsome. Not even close.

…it is not good enough just to be critical of Trump and his destructive policies.

(Thought that was a good addition from the article, left out of the subtitle.)

Here are just a few of the issues that must be addressed:

    1. We must create a vibrant democracy by ending Citizens United and preventing billionaires from buying elections.

    2. Whether the Democratic establishment likes it or not, we must guarantee healthcare as a human right through Medicare for All.

    3. We must build millions of affordable homes and apartments and give our younger generation the opportunity to own a home of their own.

    4. We must make public colleges, universities, trade schools and medical schools tuition-free and have the best childcare and public school system in the entire world.

    5. We must expand social security and bring back traditional pension plans so that every senior in this country can retire with dignity.

    6. We must raise the minimum wage to a living wage and guarantee every worker the right to join a union.

    7. We must demand that the wealthiest people and most profitable corporations in America pay their fair share in taxes.

I think we have to start over. We aren’t one people anymore, nor is our society fit for a modern world. There is just too many structural issues in our politics and economy, that can’t be addressed by gentle reform anymore.

What the fuck do you mean by start over?

Once you’ve finished your starting over, would you reinstate Citizens United or abolish it?

Once you’ve started over, would you have free healthcare for all, or reinstate privatised insurance company-led doublepay healthcare?

Once you’ve started over, would you build millions of affordable homes, or are you planning on killing enough people that there’s a surplus already?

Once you’ve started over, would you charge for education or make it free?

Once you’ve started over, would you expand social security and reinstate traditional pensions, or reduce social security and continue to assume that everyone will be able to afford a good 401k?

Once you’ve started over, would you raise the minimum wage to an amount that people can realistically live on, or leave it so that corporations can underpay workers and leave social security to foot the bill instead or have starvation and homelessness as the warning to any prole stubborn enough to consider only working a single full time job?

Once you’ve started over, would you demand that the wealthiest people and three corporations pay their fair share of taxes, or would you allow all the tax avoidance schemes from before?

“Start over” is much, much, much emptier words that don’t have any hope of making anything better AT ALL than Bernie’s words.

If your only criticism of Bernie is that there just isn’t enough death and destruction for your tastes, but using that as a reason to disagree with his ideas is nonsensical.

If your criticism amounts to “death first”, then I have to tell you that Trump and ICE wholeheartedly agree with you.

A rewritten Constitution. For example, the 4th Amendment should treat our devices and bodies as “papers and effects”, so that unwarranted searches aren’t constitutional. Ditto for LGBTQ+ and minorities being treated as people from the outset, and more.

In any case, to broadly speak to your points: An replaced Constitution should have a section dedicated to economic fairness and mechanics to uphold a more egalitarian society. For example, workers having the right to vote for leadership positions and pay packages, UBI, universal healthcare, education as a paid job for students, and so on.

The Magna Carta, American Constitution, and French democracy were born of suffering and strife. We are now in a age where that happens again.

They don’t care if the country goes to shit they can just leave and find somewhere else nice to be. They would sell the country for a dollar and just go to Switzerland or whatever.

I think he supports 2 state solution, right? So some people consider that a form of Zionism. Which seems a bit questionable because I believe that has also been Hamas’s position for the last few years, although they don’t call it that.

Maybe there’s more to it. To be honest I’m not overly worried about the exact positions of one of the more outspoken critics of Israel in congress. I’d much rather focus my ire on its defenders, which are many.

Is this that projecting that Dems do so well?

If every 3rd party voter had voted for Kamala you’d have still lost.

Against a 41x felon and pedo.

How fucked up is that when your position sucks so bad NOTHING can prop it up?

And people wonder why I voted for a black woman for president in that election.

Oh, the one who DIDN’T support a genocide. I know how that part tends to confuse Blue MAGA when I tell them.
