So today I was adding a partition to fstab. Copy/pasted the UUID, rebooted, and sudo chown -R’ed the directory it was mounted to. Turns out, I copied the wrong UUID and bricked my OS by making the entire root directory owned by my user. Learning is fun. Apparently reading is hard. Time to self flog I guess.


nono, cables are so much heavier and hurtful, i wouldnt feel safe with someone having this thing…,… even when snipped off-
I’ve seen some pretty gnarly damage from single twisted pair telephone cable.
That’s fair - I’ve seen heavy floggers in leather that would probably be similar, and I’ve seen cheap cat4 cables that would be pretty soft, lol
And now I’m thinking about shopping for more toys …
