“Dear Jonas,” the president wrote to Norway’s prime minister, Jonas Gahr Støre. “Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT.”

8 wars PLUS! So many after 8 we stopped counting and now we don’t even know what the number is. Thank God that peace will still be predominant, despite Donald not feeling any obligation towards it.

everyone is shocked I tell you SHOCKED! now what the fuck is going to be done about it? Is he just going to be allowed to steamroll and conquer neighboring countries forever while the news keeps saying “surely this is the last straw”? Why don’t other countries cut off the Untied States financially until it behaves?

The proof is that the entire upper tier of the Executive Branch has completely lost its shit and is crewed by morons. Last time around there were adults in the room that reeled in his worst impulses even though he’d sneak a gainer in once in a while. This time? They’re a clown car stuffed with ideologues, racists, and fools with the brake pedal ripped out.

Someone in my family that’s defended trump tooth and nail since the first term on everythinghas done just told me they oppose what he’s doing to Greenland, and the flood of ICE agents in Minneapolis.

I have never heard them speak a word against Trump. Not ever. And they have argued the craziest shit I’ve ever heard… Like, they think Renee was ‘asking for what she got’ levels of crazy, and that’s after they watched all the videos.

…and they just told me they are now against Trump on these two huge events. This is nuts. I need to go but a lottery ticket or something.

That is wild. I wonder why Greenland would be the tipping point?

Usually conservatives practically swoon at the notion of invading and occupying things, despite all their talk about “America first”, it’s usually really Israel first, Americans dead last, and when it’s time to bomb/invade something, they are balls-deep on the cheer-leading.

As someone with experience with people who are in the MAGA reality bubble, this is because there is no in-canon explanation of Trump’s actions (yet, the story writers patch these up pretty quick). There was no setup for this, no laying the misinformation groundwork and no existing goal that this advances.

Since Greenland wasn’t part of the story, it just came out of nowhere. Lacking any in-MAGA explaination, they are examining this situation as a normal person who knows normal facts and this is completely an unforced error by any measure as anyone can see.

If this was something that was serious and planned then we would have started hearing about this months ago as they started preparing the lies and the misinformation seeding into social media via paid/artificial content creators or otherwise useful idiots. This is probably the strongest indication that Greenland is a distraction and not a real move. This is probably the case with Canada too, in my opinion.

They would rather people talk about anything but the Epstein files and how they are very clearly covering them up and not complying with the law. They don’t want reporters to have time to report on all of the people that he has pardoned who also have made $2-5 million dollar donations to various MAGA PACs, some of them committing even more crimes and getting another pardon…

They need to throw things into the air to distract people. Some of their planned events are polling negative (the Minnesota Invasion, Healthcare Subsidies) and they don’t have anything else so instead we get more random tariffs and more random military threats because they are something that the Executive Branch can do unilaterally and suddenly to ensure that they grab the next news cycle.

This is the “Flood the Zone” tactic that Steve Bannon said that they were using during the first admin.

He did start babbling about it early in his second failed term. And I did see attempts to sanewash this talk about Greenland in places like The Atlantic, for example.

But yeah, the messaging on this has been extremely scattershot.

Conservatives seem to oscillate between isolationism and aggressive intervention. They’re both from the stance of American primacy, either using our military for our benefit and to enforce our wishes or saying the world has nothing to offer us we need and that we’re better off not extending effort or energy on the rest of the world.

Currently our conservatives are swinging towards isolationism, which is why the anti immigration rhetoric and pulling out of international organizations was very popular. That’s not compatible with a plan to forcibly annex another country.

I mean, it fits entirely however for anyone paying attention.

He hated New York high society because New York high society snubbed him and wouldn’t let him in their club, because he’s a classless ass.

He hated the US neoliberal democratic order because they snubbed him and wouldn’t let him in their club, because he doesn’t actually know what the fuck is he doing and doesn’t care about democracy.

He vows to destroy any group or idea that would reject him. He views it as a personal affront and never feels like maybe he should be a better person.

No, his solution is to destroy everything in his path, which is why he is also tearing apart NATO because he was snubbed by other democratic world leaders. He is such a giant fucking pussy baby bitch who can’t handle rejection at all.

He doesn’t even care about ruling over the ashes, he just wants to see it all fall and neither understands nor cares to understand how any of it might impact him in the long run because he’ll be dead before consequences come knocking.

The fact that a third of the country are exactly the same really exposes how deep the USA’s problems with mental health go.

I genuinely think there’s a chance that everyone is completely missing his motivation here.

Trump turns 80 on 14th June 2026. He wants someone, be it Denmark or the US Army, to give him a country for his birthday.

        What better gift is there?

This last part is the scary part. Normal humans see Grandpa Klan Robe here raging out and calling for “retribution” and think - someone should take the keys away.

Dumbass conservative apes with broken brains look at that and cheer him on and want to vote for him even harder. 1984 was all too prescient, but that’s because he was looking at quite recent events - “We’ve always been at war with [Greenland|Venezuela|Canada|Mexico]!”

He was fully in the neoliberal club…

He got the fucking Clinton’s to come to one of his weddings, neoliberals loved him because they were one of the few people he actually wrote checks too. Because he always got a return on it.

With the bad takes again? Neoliberals will take money from anyone. Thousands of average voters donated to neoliberal causes over decades. Were they ever in the club?

One of the few good things the neoliberals ever did, was to say no to Trump when he demanded power. The fact that Obama ridiculed him, whatever you think of Obama. Should tell you how IN he was. It’s not like everyone by that point didn’t know he was a petulant manchild. They snubbed him. Figuratively and literally. Its why he ran in 2015 against them. Petty bitterness, like all his lawsuits. He just never thought he would win.

I’m sure with his fragile snowflake ego that he has never felt fully accepted by the typical elites, especially old money. Maybe creepy pedo weirdo elites like Epstein and the freak(s) he ran his beauty pageants with at least tolerated having him around.

the WWF connection is real. Trump has been a close ally of the McMahon family for decades and he was breifly involved with the show directley a couple of times . The way he runs conferences, talks to people, etc, is very similar to how things get scripted on the WWF/WWE

It’s always been the sycophants who are worse. Slowly, deliberately, and methodically, America has been driven half-crazy stupid by extreme right wing xenophobia and ignorance. Reactionary ideology has fully engulfed the rotten brains of America’s least introspective imbeciles. Trump is the mirror of their desperate desire to be heard, to be catered to, to be rescued from every perceived threat, real or imagined.

We can shatter the mirror, but the monsters live among us.

“I don’t see how you can be a serious person and not find this extremely worrisome,” wrote Sen. Brian SchatSchatz (D-HI) in a social media post on X Monday. “He is not stable at all and his reality is warped. He was always a bit like this of course but now he’s [79].”

As the oldest sitting U.S. president in history, Trump has increasingly shown signs of aging, both physically and mentally, multiple outlets have reported. And, with his recent letter – the authenticity of which was questioned by critics due to its “jaw-dropping” content and “unhinged crazy talk” – speculation as to the president’s mental well-being only grew louder.

This is fucked up journalism inside the fucked up story that is super fucked up. Look at this - in the first quote they replace whatever word he used with [79]. Why? Presumably the original word was “old” and they wanted to reinforce the 79 as that has become shorthand for dementia, since the press has decided they can’t say anything due to their billionaire owners telling them they can’t say anything about it.

But what if it was “super fucked up”? That’d have been a way better quote.

And the constant referring to Xitter is awful, and the “shows signs of [decline] multiple outlets have reported” as if they’re not allowed to say it, as if it’s not as obvious as the nose on one’s face. They won’t take the burden of saying it, they’ll refer you to other corporate propaganda rags that have meekly implied it for them.

    SAD!

Am I missing something? If you actually click the link to the tweet you’d have seen that Brian Schatz said, and I quote directly:

“I don’t see how you can be a serious person and not find this extremely worrisome. He is not stable at all and his reality is warped. He was always a bit like this of course but now he’s 80.”.

There is no replacement of the word “old” or anything like that, at the very least it was a minor correction from 80 y/o to Trumps actual age of 79 y/o.

And even if that is the case, replacing “old” with “79” or “80” would have been way more damning in my opinion. Maybe I’m too young for this shit but “old” for me is 55+. Not fucking retirement age, AKA 67+ where I live, let alone 79 or 80 years old.

I truly don’t know what to make of this comment. Yeah trump is a shithead and I truly am sad that he still isn’t 6 feet deep, but what are you trying to achieve with this comment? It just seems like ragebait aimed at journalist or something, I really, truly, don’t know.

Journalists are scared pansies. What a joke of a field. If you’re a journalist, you should be ashamed and ridiculed. In a time where so many people wish they could do more to stop fascism or stand against it, the people that have power would rather suck boots and protect pedos.

Journalists have power. They refuse to use that cuz they need to make money. Money before truth.
