And how many loss edit references do you want (1 minimum)
1 for every panel
Nice loss reference.
Phew, thought I was going crazy
Is self-love a body part? No?
Then tiddies.
Why do kink people have so much disposable income for smut?
Sorry honey I can’t afford dinner tonight, but look at the fucking honkers on sonichu.
I think you’re putting the cart before the horse here. People with disposable income seek out increasingly niche forms of entertainment as they get used to their things that were previously novel
Nah it’s more like non related groups. Broke kinky people and wealthy vanilla people aren’t doing commissions. But if you don’t know broke kinky people you don’t see them (especially as they’re likely not announcing it), whereas you likely know plenty of poor vanilla people and rich vanilla people blend into the background as a non group here.
I think its both. people with more money can afford more commissions, and people who’ve gotten more commissions are likely to be more specific about what they want.
The confusing thing here is, why don’t we see more billionares with lavishly-produced fetish porn? Where are all the million-dollar R-rated movies about people turning into balloon animals? Where are the full-length music videos about women who eat people whole?
The logical conclusion is: billionares have lavishly produced porn, but its all secret. And the epstein files are a… very unfortunate clue as to why billionare porn is secret :/
Comparatively it’s not that expensive to get someone to write up an enforceable NDA. Once you cross a threshold it’s worth it to you to make it illegal to share that with anyone else so you know it’s exclusive. For what it’s worth NDAs can’t protect illegal activity, so hopefully it’s being surpressed by other illegal means, not our government (not that I’m that naive)
I feel like there’s still some public, high budget fetish porn being made. Like A Folded Ocean (potentially NSFL, kinky body horror).
Is the cart fucking the horse? Like a dragon fucking a car?
I doubt most people paying for commissions are sacrificing necessities for porn. They have more than enough for both, and so spend their money on both.
I did nsfw commission work for a bit, and so many people ask for payment plans or go “oh I’ll get paid in a week and pay you then”. They’re definitely sacrificing necessities. Main reason why I quit, it was just too sad.
How much is three hundred dollar dollars in USD?
'Bout tree fiddy.
This ain’t no Zorsith, it’s the god damn Loch Ness monster
might I get a more direct source?
based fuwwy awtistz ;;; :3
I know people hate AI, but like…
just download Stable Diffusion on a computer and run it offline? Save you money… 🤷♂️
… And get a vastly inferior product.
Granted, low quality goods at low cost have their place in any market. But never destroy the high end of the market.
looks at the state of the world
“Yall got money?”
Nope. But I do have some very specific drawings.
Well for one, most people don’t have the computing power or SD knowledge to do that well enough. Also the results end up kinda soulless, even when you know what you’re doing.
Also it’s always good to support you local nsfw artist! They almost certainly need the money 👍
I’d downvote you if I could
this is disrespectful as fuck. nsfw artists are never “just in it for the money.” everyone who’s tried that has hated it and quit.
the vast majority of nsfw artists enjoy what they do, and to suggest otherwise is puritan bullshit.
edit: to clarify, the message of this comic, as far as I can tell, is “sex is gross. nobody likes drawing sex. everyone who draws sex is being coerced financially.” and thats fucked up because 1) its not true, and 2) if it were true, it would imply that nsfw artists “deserve” all the bullshit they get from banks, from clients, and from other artists. porn is sex work, and sex work is hard work. if you just need the money, there’s like a hundred easier ways to get it that don’t involve porn. nobody chooses this path lightly, so don’t talk trash about them!
Or. And hear me out here. The message of the comic is “the author thinks sex is gross. The author doesn’t like drawing sex. The author is willing to give up on those values for the right sum of money.” And it’s a tongue in cheek joke about how their opinions can be easily swayed by financial incentives, rather than a reflection of all artists.
i want to believe this is the case, but if so, its poorly communicated.
It’s literally the artist’s self insert OC. How else are they supposed to communicate that they’re talking about a personal experience about them self and not speaking broadly on the topic? Notice how the person commissioning the NSFW art is pictured very plainly without much detail. That’s because they’re a generic stand-in. But the artist is more detailed, because they are a specific person.
No it’s not. You just wanted to give your little irrelevant rant.
its relevant and i was genuinely confused and arguing in good faith. i was wrong, and i accept that, but you don’t have to make up that it was “irrelevant.”
It was entirely irrelevant
People are allowed to think sex is icky and express that and that doesn’t mean they’re judging others for not thinking that. This doesn’t seem like the “are the allos okay?” jokes, for a similar example of jokes that do communicate negative judgement of people who feel otherwise.
